NOVAA ADDS satellite program at Hudson Middle
School
Starting Septembe 17, in accordance with the Hudson Community Education &
Recreation (HCER)Program, NOVAA will be offering
beginning voice lessons to middle and high-school students on Mondays, after
school. Students who have not studied at NOVA Academy previously will be able
to take half-hour lessons with NOVAA’s
director, Mrs. Van Houte.
Additionally, as a "get-acquainted" offer, NOVAA will be offering
beginning voice studies for adults through HCER. Anyone age 18 or over may
register through HCER for private half-hour lessons, which will be held at NOVAA.
Volunteers
Be a part of
NOVAA as
a
volunteer! It is a chance to meet new people, have
fun, see NOVAA from the inside and help
our students be the best they can be!
Some assignments require a regular ongoing commitment, once a week or once a
month; other opportunities are assigned when special needs arise, such as
Recitals.
We're developing a list of volunteers, so let us know what types of assignments you want or
inform us of a special skill you can contribute to
NOVAA and we'll contact you.

SPRING
2007:
Though it comes as no surprise to anyone who has heard Ms. Bulen sing, it is a
distinct pleasure to announce that Mary Beth has accepted a substantial
scholarship and will be attending Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a Vocal
Performance major starting Fall 2007.
In addition to the Oberlin scholarship, Mary Beth auditioned at and was
offered substantial voice scholarships at Boston Conservatory, Baldwin-Wallace
College and Boston University. Kent State University’s School of Music
offered full scholarship if she enrolled as a vocal performance music major.
Mary Beth started at NOVAA several years ago as a
high school freshman at Stow-Munroe Falls High School. As she recalls, “When
I came to NOVAA, I thought I wanted to sing
Broadway, but I’ve learned so much and now it is opera for me!”
